The custom-made ‘Edata glove’ is being manufactured for the University of Ulster at the Tyndall National Institute in Cork. The researchers say until now there has never been a tool that adequately quantifies stiffness caused by rheumatoid arthritis. Using specifically-designed software, the new glove will give more precise measurements that will assist people in self-managing their condition.
